Anchor

Anchors may signify a mariner, fisherman or a U.S. Navy burial. It is the Christian symbol for hope and steadfastedness.

The cross, anchor and heart are traditional Scandinavian symbols for "Faith, Hope and Charity". In early Christian art the anchor was used as a disguised form of the cross as hope.
