Burial Location Notes: Stone was recently replace (photographed March 2005), stones for Archelaus and Lucretia are in the front of the church on the right side as you pull in the drive.
Burial Notes: Archelaus was the son of George W. Taylor and Hannah Jennings. He married Lucretia Morris about 1809 in Franklin County, TN. They had 10 children: Matthew, James Hughes, Lucretia, Malachi R., Unity, Mary Dulcena, Leonard, Grant, William Morris, Elizabeth. His lineage is detailed in Taylors and Tates of the South by Ann K. Blomquist. Additional family information can be gleaned from This Cruel War, in which Ms. Blomquist transcribed the Civil War letters between son Grant Taylor and his wife Malinda Slaughter. [This marker is set beside the black rock placed there by the family when Archelaus died. Members of Forest Baptist Church lovingly cared for these two graves for decades.]
