Burial Notes: The father of James Pettigrew was John Pettigrew who was also a soldier of the Revolution from Abbeville, Dist., SC. John Pettigrew as captured by Tories at the battle of Ninety-Six, SC and was held on a British prison ship in Charleston harbor until end of the war.
