Burial Notes: This is Tamariah Fields Jones, "consort" of Pinckney Jeremiah Jones. She and Pinckney married in 4/1848 Greene Co., AL and had a son Allen P. Jones who is also buried in this cemetery. There is another grave near Tamariah that is allegedly at least one, maybe two more young children, Georgia Ann and "Infant". At least one of them was born to Tamariah, according to dates on the stones, just a short time before Tamariah died. Both Pinckney and Tamariah Jones along with young son Allen show up on the 1850 census in Greene Co., AL (now Hale Co.), but on the 1860 and 1870 census only Pinckney and son Allen are together. By 1880 Pinckney is no longer listed on the census and son Allen is living with a family by another surname.
