Burial Notes: Mordecai's daughter,Frances Throckmorton Barbour, married Henry Minor, also of VA. They came to Huntsville in 1814 and moved to Tuscaloosa to serve on AL 1st Supreme Court and first board of the University.They stayed. Mordecai,who was my GGGGrandfather, came to their farm in Boligee as an old man.He died there and was buried. Virginia Barbours were an interesting family, public servants. He is a 1st cousin to VA Gov. James Barbour for whom Barbour County AL is named. Mordecai married Eleanor Strode daughter of John Strode of Fleetwood, Culpeper, another interesting fellow.
