Burial Notes: James Alexander McAlpine was the third child of John Edwin McAlpine and Nancy Ann Watson. He was born and died in Boligee, AL. Married Dec. 13, 1866 to Mary Ann Blakely. They had 8 children.He served in Co. E, 20th AL. Regiment in 1861. He was a merchant in Boligee for many years.
