27 July 1842 Wynne Died on the 25th instant at the residence of Daniel Cribbs, Mrs. Paulina Ann Wynne, consort of William Wynne (son of William Wynne Sr., Revolutionary War Soldier) of Greene County.
7 Sep 1842 King Died at Pleasant Grove, Pickens County (now Greene) on the 31st of August, Williamson R. King in his 32nd year. Death caused by wound received by fall from scaffold. Left a wife and six small children.
19 Oct 1842 Hatter Died at his residence near Trussel's Ferry on Beckbee River in Greene County, Ala. Sunday the 9th instant, Mr. Richard Hatter, aged 62. He was amongst the first settlers of this section of the country, having emigrated from South Carolina to Greene County in 1819. (From Eutaw Whig)
28 Dec 1842 Strickland Died on the 10th of December last in Pickens County, Obadiah Strickland Senr. aged 79 years and 11 months, formerly of Franklin County, North Carolina. Member of the Baptist Church for 30 years.
9 Aug 1843 Horton Died near Clinton on the 25th of July, Jesse Harbert Horton, aged 23 years 8 months and 3 days, amidst tears of Father and Mother, Brothers and Sisters ... La Fayette (From Eutaw Whig)
16 Aug 1843 Glover Died on the morning of the 31st instant at the residence of her Father in Greene County, Alabama of scarlet fever, after a short but severe illness, Miss Sarah Louisa Glover, eldest daughter of William A. and Amelia T. Glover in the 17th year of her age.
15 Nov 1843 Erwin Died in Greensboro on Saturday, the 22d of July, Miss Julia Erwin, Daughter of Col. John Erwin, aged 16 years.
