He enlisted in Newton County, Mississippi and was captured at Vicksburg and paroled and later wounded at Franklin Tenn. and later captured and was p.o.w. until released June 6, 1865. Born in Greene County, Alabama in 1827 to Daniel and Margaret Munn who were married in Greene County, Alabama on 27 Dec., 1826. His Texas pension # is 06027 and he and his wife Missouri (Hicks) Munn are buried at Bethesda Cemetery in Smith County, Texas.
