Bordens and Campbells, CA 1893
Bottom left is Martha T. Campbell; Bottom right is her
older brother, Borden Montgomery Campbell; top left is her
oldest brother, E.F. Campbell, III. Her mother, Mittie
Borden Campbell is seated, middle right. To Mittie's left
is, I suspect, Alice Moore Borden, wife of William Alfred
Borden. On the left of the picture, standing, just below
E.F.C,III, is Roberta K. Moore , "Berta" Borden, wife of
Benj. Claiborne Borden. It appears that others in the
picture, seated, front, are Mary and Bessie Borden,
daughters of Joseph Borden. They lived in Seabright,
California.

Henry Robert Cockrell, born Oct. 1, 1826 died
Sept. 3, 1883,in Freestone, Fairfield, Texas. Henry was

Williams. Many of his siblings followed him to Texas. Henry
is husband of Eliza/Elizabeth Ellender Strickland. Their
last child, and only daughter to survive childhood, was Ophelia.
ONE of the
girls below is Ophelia Ann Cockrell, his daughter; the other is
Elizabeth Powell.

NO LABEL! Same photographer as Henry Robert Cockrell
& brother Goin A. Cockrell, taken in Galveston, Texas. Child is most likely Ophelia
Ann Cockrell
the only daughter of Henry Robert Cockrell and Eliza
Ellender Strickland his wife. This would date the photo
about 1868 - which is a mystery since Goin A. supposedly
died directly after returning from the Civil War.
