Henry H. Garvin, born about 1814 in Georgia, married about
1835 in Greene Co., AL to Charlotte Hannah Gilbert who had six
children and died before the 1870 census. 1870 Texas census
shows Henry with second wife Caroline J. Davis.
Father of Unaomah Cheek Garvin (Naomi)
Naomi was the first wife of William Newton Goodson (both
buried at Unity Cemetery near Aliceville, AL.) Naomi married
William at age 19 and had 10 children in 20 years and died at
age 39. Henry is Fannie Estelle Goodson King's grandfather
(who handed this photo down the ancestral line.)

Either Martha Elizabeth (Bettie) 1859-1898 or Mary Etta
1869-1904 - label on photo is "sister of Fannie Estelle
Goodson King who died young." Of Fannie's SIX sisters
only Martha & Mary died young. Most likely Martha since
she remained in Pickens Co., and close to Fannie Estelle.
Daughter of Naomi & William Goodson. (tintype)
